Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Manager, IT Application Controls to support the Global IT & Third Party Lead in delivering SOX compliance for IT applications and third parties. The role focuses on design/testing of controls, preparing SOX documentation, and QA of findings within the UK ACG programme.

The candidate will work across in-scope business functions, review SOC1/SOC2 reports, and drive remediation activities where needed, ensuring strong governance and risk management throughout.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified ideally, with 10+ years in banking, specifically experience in working on large multi-dimensional programmes / projects across business and functions.

Responsibilities

• Understand the workstream objectives and roadmap.
• Identify in-scope third parties supporting in-scope IT applications or in-scope business processes.
• Review control documentation, assess coverage and gaps.
• Prepare SOX documentation for each in-scope application.
• Support remote or onsite audit of in-scope third parties.
• Arrange meetings to facilitate Control testing/validation.
• Provide weekly and ad hoc reporting on assessment status.
• Maintain a register of control testing outcomes and gaps.
• Adhere to governance practices and regulatory requirements.
