British American Tobacco in Subang Jaya, Malaysia is seeking an ITGC Compliance Manager to join the DBS Compliance team. You will embed IT General Controls across service lines, support the Compliance Manager and Head of Risk, Governance & Compliance, and help strengthen the controls framework.

The role requires strong IT/finance controls expertise, experience in IT SOX, and proven ability to analyze risks, report findings, and collaborate with senior stakeholders. Power BI skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Qualified IT professional with significant post-qualification/post-graduate experience.
• Proven experience in compliance initiatives and governance across IT environments.
• Strong controls and risk management expertise, balancing control effectiveness with business costs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced reporting and documentation skills with MS Office.
• Effective collaboration and communication with senior management and stakeholders.
• Experience in IT SOX Controls, IT SOX Compliance, IT Internal/External Audit; Power BI is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Embed and maintain IT General Controls (ITGCs) across DBS service lines and processes; support the Compliance Manager and Head of Risk, Governance & Compliance in developing the control framework.
• Analyze compliance and control effectiveness; identify gaps and remediation opportunities against BAT control frameworks, laws, regulations, internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Recommend risk and control improvements to DBS management to strengthen the controls environment and governance framework.
• Support the execution and closure of action plans from controls health checks, IRIs, audits, SOX testing, and other assessments.
• Act as part of the First Line of Defense; collaborate with risk, control, audit and business stakeholders to implement Group-defined control requirements.
• Provide coordination with collaborators; build relationships and engage internal/external stakeholders effectively.
• Coordinate and supervise team activities (where applicable) to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Drive continuous learning and capability development in risk management, internal controls, audit, compliance and broader business practices.
