About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst to join our team at our Pasir Gudang facility in Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing and optimising our inventory operations. As an Inventory Control Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout our manufacturing and distribution processes. This role is essential to our operations, directly supporting our manufacturing objectives and contributing to our commitment to delivering quality products on time to our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Analyse inventory levels and trends to optimise stock management and minimise carrying costs
- Process purchase orders, receipts, and material movements with precision and attention to detail
- Identify and investigate inventory variances, working with relevant departments to resolve issues
- Support the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures
- Prepare regular inventory reports and provide insights to management on stock performance
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless inventory operations
- Assist in cycle counting activities and physical inventory verification exercises
- Maintain warehouse organisation and ensure compliance with storage standards and safety protocols
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role within a manufacturing or logistics environment
- Strong proficiency with inventory management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and implement improvements
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Solid understanding of inventory valuation methods and supply chain principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and warehouse operations is preferred
- Knowledge of quality control and compliance standards is advantageous
