To manage and coordinate inventory planning, stock replenishment, inventory optimization, and logistics activities across branches, warehouses, and distribution centres. The role is responsible for maintaining healthy inventory levels, ensuring timely stock availability, optimizing inventory utilization, and coordinating with relevant internal teams to support efficient business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Planning & Forecasting
Monitor inventory levels across branches, warehouses, and distribution centres to ensure optimal stock availability based on demand forecasts, historical consumption, sales trends, and business requirements.
Prepare and analyze monthly inventory forecasts and stock requirements to determine appropriate replenishment quantities.
Analyze inventory trends, stock movements, inventory coverage, and turnover to support inventory planning and decision-making.
Plan and execute stock replenishment for branches, warehouses, and distribution centres in accordance with forecasted demand and operational requirements.
Monitor stock availability and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and replenishment risks.
Coordinate replenishment activities and follow up on delivery progress to ensure timely stock availability.
Plan and coordinate inter-branch and inter-warehouse stock transfers to optimize inventory distribution and utilization.
Inventory Optimization & Control
Monitor inventory ageing, slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Review stock coverage and inventory turnover and identify opportunities to improve inventory efficiency.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and stock variances and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues.
Support stock reconciliation, stock adjustments, and periodic inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy and control.
Procurement & Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely purchasing and replenishment in line with approved inventory requirements and forecasts.
Liaise closely with warehouse, logistics, shipment, planning, and other relevant teams on inventory and stock-related matters.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve stock shortages, delivery delays, inventory discrepancies, and other operational issues.
Logistics Coordination
Monitor and coordinate stock deliveries to branches and other locations to ensure timely and efficient distribution.
Follow up on outstanding deliveries and coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to address delivery-related issues.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between inventory planning, warehouse, logistics, and operational teams.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare regular inventory and logistics reports covering stock availability, replenishment status, stock shortages, excess inventory, inventory ageing, stock transfers, and inventory performance.
Analyze inventory and logistics data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Provide recommendations to management to improve stock availability, inventory utilization, replenishment efficiency, and overall inventory performance.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Inventory Management, or a related field.
Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory planning, supply chain, logistics, replenishment, or warehouse operations.
Experience in inventory forecasting, stock replenishment, inventory analysis, and stock movement coordination is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory / ERP systems.
Strong analytical, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
