Job summary

Translation and Interpretation Services Company, based in Malaysia, is seeking an Interpreter for 100% work-from-home arrangements. The role involves consecutive interpretation for live doctor-patient, banking, and client conversations, with duties performed remotely from Malaysia.

The position requires night shifts (8 hours per shift) with a minimum of 40 hours online per week. Strong listening skills, neutrality, and cultural mediation are essential to ensure accurate and professional

Qualifications

• Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective.
• Ability to quickly establish personal credibility.
• Ability to follow client's instructions closely.
• Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the clientB2.
• CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages.
• Able to work from home on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate.
• Handling telephone or video calls on demand and renders meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between speakers of English.
• Processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences, and is always professional and courteous.
• The interpreter will use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices across Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

Client: Translation and Interpretation Services Company

Position: Interpreter (100% Work from Home)

Location: Work From Home (Based in Malaysia)

Job Scope: Consecutive interpretation- Live conversation Doctor & Patient, Banker and client etc...

Working Hours: 100% night shift that changes monthly. Entry points can be any hour from 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am etc. (8 hours online per shift, 40 hours online per week MINIMUM)

Salary: Basic package up to RM5700 - RM6500
