Job summary

BWC Construction Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a junior Quantity Surveyor to join our field teams and gain hands-on experience on live projects. The role is ideal for fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying and CIDB Green Card, who are eager to learn.

Qualifications include familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D or other design software is an advantage. You must possess your own transport and be willing to travel to project sites as required, to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Live around Kamunting, Taiping, or nearby areas.
• CIDB Green Card.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D or other design software is an advantage.

• Passionate about learning and gaining hands-on experience in a real site environment.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Good attitude, eagerness to learn, and well-disciplined.

Responsibilities

• Able to calculate cost of projects tendering, preparation of tender submission & BoQ, cost estimation, procurement support and follow up of project.
• Taking off quantity.
• Able to prepare project final account & analysis, variation order works, interim progress claim.
• Project organizing, costing control by monitoring the site work & progress.
• Prepare letter of award to sub-contractors and verify their claims of the project.
• Processing progress claim and variations to ensure on time submission.
• To undertake other related jobs from time to time as directed by Contract/Project Manager.
• Track payment status to ensure the payment is made by Finance Dept within the contractual payment period.
• Liaise and communicating with all project stakeholders (consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, management, public etc.) to ensure all contract administration matters are attended promptly and kept up to date.
