Job summary

AFA Technologies Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Metal Solutions Trainee to gain hands-on experience in metal solutions within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will assist engineers with spare parts inventory, ensure quality of fabricated parts, support processes like drilling, milling and grinding, and update data in POWER APPS and ERP. CAD/CAM tasks will occupy about 5% of duties. Education: Bachelor or Diploma; Languages: English/Malay/Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with spare parts inventory to minimise production disruption and verify material dimensions and quantities.
• Ensure quality and quantity of fabricated parts meet customer requirements.
• Support manufacturing processes such as reburring, drilling, tapping, buffing, milling, grinding and maintenance.
• Update and record data on fabricate system (POWER APPS, ERP, etc).
• Oversee daily production requirements for efficiency, quality, yield and machine utilization.
• Adhere to 6S standards in daily operations.
• CAD/CAM tasks to be performed as ~5% of duties.

Job Title:

Job Summary:

Are you a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in Metal Solutions within a dynamic manufacturing environment? Join us as a Metal Solutions Trainee and learn how real business operations run from the inside!

Key Responsibilities:

Job Scope: Metal Solutions Trainee

1) Assisting Engineer in maintaining list of spare parts inventory to minimise production operation disruption whilst ensuring raw material dimension and quantity check and standby for machining.

2) Ensure quality and quantity check of completed fabricate parts comply to customer requirement

3) Support of manufacturing process example reburring, drilling, tapping, buffing, milling, grinding and maintenance.

4) Update and record data on fabricate system (POWER APPS, ERP, etc)

5) Overview in daily operation of respective production requirements for efficiency, quality, yield and machine utilization

6) Daily observation and practice of 6S standards.

7) Computer Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD/CAM) – 5% of tasks expected.

Education:

Bachelor or Diploma (Required)

Language:

English/Malay/Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients. (Required)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Working Hours : 8am to 6pm

OT : when required after work hours on weekdays and during weekends/public holidays.
