Job summary

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is offering an Internship - Human Resource (Pre-Onboarding) in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

You will undertake assignments within the HR Division, support strategic HR projects, manage deliverables, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Degree or Diploma in HR or related fields, with solid MS Office skills and exposure to HRIS such as Ascender or SmartRecruiter.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in HR or related field.
• Strong academic results from a recognized university.
• MS Office proficiency; exposure to HRIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Undertake special HR assignments to support strategic HR projects.
• Manage assigned HR projects ensuring on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with project champions and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Support planning, execution, and monitoring of HR initiatives.
• Handle pre-employment activities including document collection and background checks.

• Undertake special assignments within the Human Resources Division, supporting the delivery of strategic HR projects that contribute to business and operational objectives.
• Manage assigned HR projects and ensure deliverables are completed within the agreed timelines, scope and project requirements.
• Work closely with project champions and relevant stakeholders to understand requirements, coordinate activities and support successful project implementation.
• Support the planning, execution and monitoring of HR initiatives, including data gathering, analysis, documentation, coordination and progress tracking.
• Handles pre-employment activities, including coordinating medical check-ups, collecting and verifying candidate documents, and facilitating background screening prior to onboarding.
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Good academic result from a recognized university and a passion in people and managing human resources in an organization.
  • Knowledge in using computer/MS Office is a prerequisite and exposure to HRIS (particularly in Ascender and/or SmartRecruiter) is an added advantage.
