Job summary

KMK Rubber Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, an export-oriented engineering and manufacturing company based in Bandar Teknologi Kajang, Malaysia, invites motivated candidates for a SHE role. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining safety, health and environmental procedures, coordinate with authorities, and support audits and training across plants in a fast-paced rubber tech environment.

Qualifications

• Assist in maintaining and implementing Safety, Health & Environment procedures / policies and management systems.
• Assist in planning, managing and supporting improvement programs for SHE.
• Identify and evaluate workplace hazards (ISO14001/ISO45001).
• Assist in conducting Safety, Health & Environmental monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise with relevant authorities.
• Assist SHO/SHE Executive with safety inspections, internal audits and external audits.
• Help standardize SHE practices across all plants.
• Maintain administrative and monitoring records for SHE.

Job description

• To ensure all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) issues of the company is in compliance with local regulations such as Dept of Safety & Health (DOSH), Dept of Environment (DOE), Ministry of Health Department, Fire Service Department, etc.
• Assist SHO to responsible and ensure for all Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) issues of the company is in compliance with local regulations.
• Assist to maintain and implementing Safety, Health & Environment procedures / policies and management systems.
• To coordinate and liaise with relevant authorities.
• Assist in plan, manage and support improvement programs, identify and evaluate existing workplace hazards (ISO14001/ ISO45001).
• Assist in conduct Safety, Health & Environmental monitoring.
• Assist SHO / SHE Executive to conducts safety and health inspection, internal audit and external audit as assigned.
• Assist SHO / SHE Executive to ensure standardization of SHE practices at all plants.
• Responsible to comply with administrative and monitoring system, and keeping appropriate records.
• Assist to plan and help in preparation and conduct training related to safety, health & environment to all staffs.
• Assist in provide advice & consultation for department to assist them in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with environmental safety regulations, standards & practices.
• Adheres to the Company’s safety, health and environmental regulation.
• Adheres to all Company’s rules and regulations.
• To maintain workstation and surrounding areas in neat and tidy condition.
• Involved in all activities related to the performance of the unit such as 5’S’ and/or any activities prescribe by his / her superior.
• To perform shift work when it is required by the management.
• To perform other duty as may be required which commensurate with the grading of the post.
• To assist in investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which has happened in the place of work.
• To assist the employer of the SHE Committee in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health programme at the place of work.
• To become assistant secretary to the SHE Committee and perform all functions of secretary as specified in regulations.
• To assist SHE Committee in any inspection of the place of work for the purpose of checking the effectiveness and efficacy of any measures taken.
• To collect, analyse and maintain statistics on any accident dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease which have occurred at the place of work.
• To assist any officer in carrying out his duty under the Act.
• To carry out any other instruction on any matters pertaining to SHE at the place of work.
• To appointed as Hearing Conservation Administrator (HCA) to assist the employer to manage, make decisions, correct deficiencies and enforce necessary actions in implementing the Hearing Conservation Program.
• To assist officer to ensure that environment, especially in relation to bag filter performance monitoring and competent person in scheduled waste management, is in compliance with the DOE’s requirements.
