Kayel Rubber Products Sdn Bhd is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns for our Perai, Penang facility. This contract-based internship offers hands-on experience in rubber product design, manufacturing processes, and quality control, working alongside experienced engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic knowledge of quality assurance and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with safety standards and workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development using CAD and drawing standards.
• Support manufacturing and production processes, including machinery operation and monitoring.
• Conduct quality assurance tests on rubber products to meet specifications.
• Assist in maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
• Collect and analyse technical data from production processes.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Support R&D initiatives to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements.
• Observe and learn best practices in mechanical engineering and safety.
