About the role
An automotive manufacturing company specializing in powertrain systems and automotive components is seeking a Process Intern to join our engineering team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain practical experience in process engineering within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Based in Tanjung Malim, Perak, this internship will provide you with hands-on exposure to real-world process engineering challenges and contribute meaningfully to our operational excellence initiatives. You will work alongside experienced process engineers and gain valuable insights into optimising manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality standards across our operations.
Assist in monitoring and analysing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
Support the collection, analysis and documentation of process data and performance metrics
Participate in process optimisation projects under the guidance of senior engineers
Conduct equipment inspections and assist in maintenance scheduling
Help develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures and work instructions
Support troubleshooting efforts to resolve production issues and bottlenecks
Assist in implementing process improvements and tracking their effectiveness
Contribute to safety initiatives and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality and maintenance departments
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced industrial setting
Ability to work flexibly and respond to operational demands
