Job summary

Comet Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd invites an Intern (Project Management) to join our Penang site. You will assist PMO governance, help maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation, and track progress with stakeholders across cross-functional teams.

You’ll gain exposure to IT and project management, work in a hybrid setup, and collaborate with international colleagues as part of a leading Swiss technology group.

Responsibilities

• Support PMO processes, governance activities, and project management community initiatives.
• Assist managers with project plans, schedules, action items, and documentation.
• Track progress, risks, issues, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and meeting materials.
• Maintain project records and coordinate cross-functional meetings.

Intern (Project Management)

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and teamoriented individual for the business area Group Functions at the Penang site.

What You Will Do

• Support Group PMO processes, governance activities, and project management community initiatives.
• Assist project and program managers in maintaining project plans, schedules, action items, and project documentation.
• Track project progress, risks, issues, and key deliverables, ensuring timely follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of project status reports, presentations, meeting materials, minutes, and follow-up actions.
• Maintain project records and repositories while coordinating meetings, documentation, and communication across cross-functional teams.

What You Bring

• Undergraduate or postgraduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Management, IT, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of project management concepts, project lifecycle, governance, and project coordination.
• Strong organizational, communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to organize information and prepare clear reports and presentations.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn, with an interest in project management, IT, digital transformation, or enterprise projects.
