Job summary

COMET TECHNOLOGIES MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Penang invites a Jira/Confluence & Microsoft 365 Administrator to join Group Functions. You will manage Jira/Confluence, MS Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and oversee upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

You’ll work with Linux monitoring, Grafana/Prometheus, enforce IT governance and security, and provide user training and documentation. English proficiency required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven Jira/Confluence admin experience with data center and/or cloud setups.
• Strong Microsoft 365 admin experience (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).
• Experience with Azure AD/Entra ID in hybrid environments; scripting skills.
• Solid troubleshooting in Linux, monitoring, and integrations.
• Understanding of governance, compliance, and IT security for collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan updates, upgrades, and migrations; optimize performance in Linux environments.

What you will do:

• Administer, configure, and maintain Jira and Confluence, including user and permission management, workflows, dashboards, reports, and scripting (e.g., Groovy, ScriptRunner). And evaluate, test, and implement new features, add-ons, and integrations for Jira and Confluence, ensuring compliance with IT governance, data protection, and security.
• Plan and execute updates, upgrades, and migrations (e.g., from Data Center to Cloud), including troubleshooting and performance optimization on Linux with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Administer Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business, including channels, sites, document libraries, permissions, sharing policies, workflows, and content lifecycle.
• Develop and enforce organizational standards, guidelines, and best practices for collaboration platforms and coordinate with key stakeholders and departments including provide user support, training, and enablement for Jira/Confluence and M365, and create clear documentation and training materials.
• Test, integrate, and implement plugins and interfaces with other IT and business systems; ensure backup, security, compliance, and efficient use of cloud resources. Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• Proven experience in administering Jira and Confluence (Data Center and/or Cloud), including workflow design, configuration, and automation.
• Solid experience with Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Planner, and Outlook from a user and admin perspective.
• Experience with Azure services and Entra ID (Azure AD) in hybrid environments including scripting and automation skills, ideally with Groovy and PowerShell, and strong troubleshooting skills in complex infrastructures (Linux, monitoring, integrations).
• Understanding of governance, compliance, and IT security principles related to collaboration platforms and cloud services.
• Very good written and spoken English; German skills are an additional asset.
