Job summary

Carsome Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or related field to assist credit officers with Hire Purchase financing applications. You will analyse payslips, bank statements, and CCRIS/CTOS reports, prepare credit assessment summaries, monitor data records, and flag anomalies for review.

This role offers exposure to lending concepts and policy discussions, with opportunities to develop Excel and data-analysis

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a relevant finance/accounting degree.
• Experience with financial document review or data analysis is a plus.
• Strong numeric ability and attention to detail.

• Familiar with lending concepts and ratios.

Job description

Assist credit officers in reviewing and processing Hire Purchase financing applications.

Analyse applicant documents including payslips, bank statements, and credit bureau reports (CCRIS/CTOS).

Support preparation of credit assessment summaries and recommendation notes.

Maintain credit data records and assist in preparing portfolio monitoring and approval rate reports.

Flag document irregularities or application anomalies to senior credit officers for review.

Participate in credit policy discussions and assist in updating credit checklist and assessment templates.

Your Know-How

Currently pursuing a Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related field.

Prior exposure to financial document review or data analysis (academic or internship) is an advantage.

Comfortable working with numbers and drawing conclusions from financial information.

Experience in any analytical role or coursework involving credit, risk, or lending is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret financial documents — payslips, bank statements, CCRIS/CTOS reports.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies across documents.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and basic analysis.

Good written communication — able to summarise findings clearly in credit notes.

Basic understanding of lending ratios, debt service coverage, or credit scoring concepts
