Job summary

Qualifications

Your Day-to-Day

• Ability to read and interpret financial documents — payslips, bank statements, CCRIS/CTOS reports.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies across documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and basic analysis.
• Good written communication — able to summarise findings clearly in credit notes.
• Good understanding of lending ratios, debt service coverage, or credit scoring concepts.
• Understanding of why credit assessment matters — both for customer protection and for managing portfolio quality and NPL risk.
• Awareness of the Hire Purchase Act and how regulatory requirements shape credit decisioning in Malaysia.

Your Know-How

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
• 3+ years’ relevant experience in credit risk/assessment (preferably in HP or asset financing).
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian regulatory requirements (BNM guidelines, Hire Purchase Act, etc.).
• Strong risk judgment, financial modelling, and decision-making skills.
• Track record in managing credit teams with strong compliance orientation.
