Job summary

Bruker in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an EHS Intern to support environmental, health and safety programs at the site. The role involves assisting with safety audits, policy implementation, and training material development to protect employees and the environment.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (EHS) and be able to coordinate with contractors while maintaining SEPro data and supporting compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in engineering/mechanical or chemical engineering or related discipline (EHS).

Responsibilities

• Execute, development/implementation/ maintenance of environmental and safety management systems
• Coordinates the day-to-day implementation of the site safety, industrial hygiene and environmental policies and procedures
• Develops and conducts periodic safety audits / assessments to evaluate compliance to regulations and facility safety & environmental policies & procedures
• Assures contractor compliance with applicable safety and environmental policies
• Updates and maintains action items within SEPro (Safety and Environmental Professional) database in areas of safety and environment, as determined by the SEPro team
• Responsible for development of safety and environmental training materials
• Participates on ISO 14001 Environmental Management Team
• Serving as the site focal point for multi-media environmental compliance
• Interpret legislation and company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies as assigned as Element Owner
• Providing advice and whenever necessary hands on support to the sub-contractors in such activities as Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, environmental monitoring and Incident Investigation and analysis

Responsibilities

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern will assist to provide protection to employees and the environment by managing EHS programs, conducting workplace audits, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.

The duties and responsibilities of an EHS Intern include:
