Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Batu Kawan, is seeking an EHS Officer to conduct routine safety inspections across production, assembly, warehouse and engineering areas, and to support risk assessment activities.

You will gather field data, report unsafe acts, assist in incident investigations, deliver safety training, and help maintain ISO compliance and EHS documentation. Diploma in Occupational Safety or related field required; 0–2 years preferred.

Qualifications

Diploma in Occupational Safety or related field required; science/technical background acceptable.
Preferably 0–2 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety roles.
Knowledge of ISO requirements and safety documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine safety inspections in production, assembly, warehouse and engineering areas (at least 4 hours per day).
Conduct field data gathering and compliance monitoring to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Support risk assessments such as HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control).
Identify unsafe acts and conditions, and report findings for corrective action.
Assist in incident investigations and track incident trends and data.
Assist the EHS Engineer in following up on action items identified during safety site walkabouts.
Assist in conducting safety training programs with production and assembly trainers for new and existing employees.
Help organize toolbox talks and safety awareness programs.
Monitor the Scheduled Waste Management System.
Monitor and ensure the proper use of PPE by employees and contractors.
Monitor contractor safety compliance during installation, maintenance, and site work activities.
Serve as a first responder during emergencies, particularly safety-related incidents.
Assist with day-to-day EHS activities and related documentation.
Perform other duties and assignments as instructed by superiors from time to time.
Comply with all ISO requirements and adhere to general safety practices, SOPs, work instructions, policies and guidelines.
