Job summary

WhiteCrow Research seeks an EHS Analyst III in Penang, Malaysia to lead planning, procedures updates and safety management within a manufacturing environment.

You will perform EHS audits, coordinate safety training, ensure compliance with Malaysia EHS laws, and drive continuous improvement with data analysis and cross‑functional collaboration. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EH&S experience in Manufacturing.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin; knowledge of Malaysia EHS laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Initiating and updating EHS policies and procedures in line with audit findings.
• Managing Safety and Health activities, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Leading EHS planning, internal audits, and training programs to improve safety metrics.

As a EHS Analyst III, you will be responsible for...

Planning

• Initiating the annual EHS training plan and EHS internal audit plan in order to meet the department's annual operating plan.

Procedures & Document Update

• Reviewing and updating EHS procedures according to internal and external audit findings.
• Initiating, updating, and executing EHS policies and procedures according to national laws and regulations, S.A.F.E., or global company policies in order to fulfill company EHS system requirements and improve work efficiency.

Safety and Health Management

• Submitting applications to the Safety Bureau for Safety and Health Impact Assessment and other required permits or registrations in order to meet the requirements of national laws and regulations.
• Conducting Safety Standard Management reviews and following benchmarks to strengthen the EHS system.
• Coordinating industrial hygiene monitoring, evaluation, and medical surveillance in order to prevent occupational diseases.
• Maintaining the S.A.F.E. and environmental tools with continuous improvement.
• Following up on incident investigations, corrective actions, and injury trend analysis in order to prevent incidents.
• Conducting canteen and dormitory inspections with the Admin. team to supervise food safety and fire safety and prevent incidents.
• Conducting contractor and supplier EHS management and issuing non-routine high-risk task permits in order to prevent incidents.

EHS Projects

• Leading and following up on JSA, LOTO, ergonomics, machine guarding, BBS, near-hit reporting, PPE management, industrial hygiene, environmental initiatives, and other EHS activities.
• Coordinating Kaizens and other EHS activities in order to meet S.A.F.E. and client requirements and prevent incidents.

Audit

• Implementing routine EHS internal audits and conducting examinations.
• Preparing necessary materials and data sheets for S.A.F.E., customer, local government, and global company audits in order to ensure compliance with requirements.

Reporting & Training

• Preparing monthly EHS performance reports in order to present EHS performance.
• Organizing health and safety-related training for employees in order to promote health and safety awareness.

What you already have...

• Minimum must posses Bachelors in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering and other related education.
• Minimum 5 years of EH&S experience required in Manufacturing Industry, more focused on safety;
• Possesses a strong grasp of Malaysia's EHS laws and regulations, EHS Greenbook, can conduct compliance assessments, Familiar with DOE and DOSH or other local authorities.
• Autonomous ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS.
• Good reading and writing in English and Mandarin (added advantage)
• Skilled in leveraging Excel for data analysis, visualization, and strong tracking key metrics.
