Job summary

Zuspresso (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a design-focused specialist to develop comprehensive documentation for new outlets, revamps, flagship or themed spaces, and to support fast-paced rollout projects.

You will collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure brand standards, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance are met throughout concept to construction stages.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience in retail, F&B, or commercial interior design.
• Able to produce full design documentation sets from layouts to 3D visuals and detailed drawings.
• Experience in design & build environments or fast-paced rollout projects preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Enscape.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, construction methods and buildability.
• Knowledge of design documentation standards and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to coordinate drawings from consultants (M&E, C&S, Architects).
• Strong project coordination, multitasking, and time management to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive design documentation for outlets, including layout plans, 3D perspectives, drawings, materials, furniture, equipment, and specs.
• Prepare tender drawings and hoarding visuals as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to ensure feasibility and buildability.
• Provide active support during construction and fit-out phases, resolving design-related issues.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with brand standards, site conditions, and local regulations.
• Contribute to development of internal design manuals, templates, and libraries.
• Drive design optimization to improve cost-efficiency and constructability.
• Review drawings and documents for visual, technical, and formatting standards prior to issuance.
• Maintain up-to-date drawing sets and design guideline documents across projects.
• Proactively evaluate new materials and design solutions to enhance aesthetics, functionality, and cost efficiency.

Job description

This is a design-focused position responsible for developing comprehensive design documentation and supporting retail and F&B outlet projects from concept through construction. You will collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver design solutions that meet brand standards, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Position Responsibilities

Develop and deliver comprehensive design documentation including layout plans, 3D perspectives, detailed drawings, material selections, furniture, equipment, and technical specifications for new outlet openings, revamps, flagship or themed outlets, and ZUS Signature outlets.

Prepare tender drawings for secured sites and develop hoarding visuals when required per project.

Collaborate closely with internal teams (Fit-Out, QS) and key stakeholders (Operations, Marketing, Brand), as well as external parties (Architects, Consultants, Contractors, Suppliers) to ensure design feasibility, accuracy, and buildability.

Provide active support during construction and fit-out phases by resolving design-related site issues, addressing discrepancies, and managing last-minute changes.

Ensure all design deliverables comply with brand standards, operational requirements, site-specific conditions, and relevant local regulations.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal design manuals, standard templates, and detail libraries.

Drive design optimization initiatives to improve cost-efficiency and constructability without compromising brand identity or design intent.

Review and ensure all drawings and documents meet required visual, technical, and formatting standards prior to issuance.

Maintain and organize up-to-date drawing sets, standard templates, and design guideline documents across all projects.

Proactively introduce and evaluate new materials, finishes, and design solutions to enhance aesthetics, functionality, and cost efficiency.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent.

Minimum 3–5 years' experience in retail, F&B, or commercial interior design.

Proven ability to produce full design documentation sets, from layout plans, 3D visuals, to technical and detailed drawings.

Experience in design & build environments or fast-paced rollout projects is highly preferred.

Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and rendering tools such as Enscape.

Strong understanding of materials, finishes, construction methods, and overall buildability.

Well-versed in design documentation standards, submission requirements, and cross-functional coordination processes.

Ability to interpret and coordinate drawings from consultants, including M&E (Mechanical & Electrical), C&S (Civil & Structural), and Architects.

Strong project coordination, multitasking, and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
