Job summary

Great Eastern in Malaysia is seeking a proactive sales and business development professional to support growth through OCBC branches and their customers. You will build relationships with branch staff and clients, identify new opportunities, and assist in generating sales leads.

You will gather market feedback, monitor portfolios, ensure high service quality, and help implement marketing campaigns while adhering to regulatory and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in any fields. AMII or DMII qualifications.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of business plans and sales initiatives to achieve the company\'s objectives in growing business through OCBC branches and their customers.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with OCBC branch staff and clients to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Assist in generating sales leads and converting opportunities into new business.
• Conduct regular sales and business development activities with OCBC branches and their customers.
• Gather and share market information, customer feedback, and competitor insights to support business planning and decision-making.
• Monitor and follow up on customer portfolios and premium collections to support effective credit control.
• Provide quality customer service and support to branch staff and clients on insurance-related enquiries.
• Assist in assessing and underwriting risks within the approved authority limit and in accordance with company guidelines.
• Support the implementation of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and business development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on sales activities and business performance.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and company procedures.
• Take accountability for identifying potential business and compliance risks and elevate concerns when necessary.
• Stay informed of industry developments, market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks to better support the business.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and share best practices with the team.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting manager from time to time.
