Job summary

Monash University Malaysia seeks an Institutional Governance Specialist to provide expert governance support, manage day-to-day operations, and coordinate cross-functional delivery. The role emphasizes proactive problem-solving and adherence to established governance frameworks.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Institutional Governance, and play a key part in maintaining smooth governance processes across the campus. This is a continuing full-time position on the main campus in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist expertise and day-to-day leadership across Institutional Governance.
• Coordinate team delivery and manage workflows and priorities.
• Resolve routine operational issues to ensure consistent delivery.
• Exercise independent judgement within approved frameworks and escalate risks to the Senior Manager.

The position provides specialist expertise and day-to-day operational leadership across Institutional Governance. It coordinates team delivery, manages workflows and routine operational priorities, and monitors follow-through and resolves routine operational issues to support consistent delivery. The role combines direct delivery of assigned governance work with coordination across the subunit. It exercises independent professional judgement within established frameworks and agreed authority, identifies emerging risks and escalates matters requiring the Senior Manager's decision.
