Job summary

TLC Architect is seeking an experienced Inspector of Works to supervise construction activities and ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

The role involves monitoring Structural, M&E and Architectural works, reviewing drawings for discrepancies, and reporting issues to the relevant parties. CIDB registration, good communication, and ability to work independently are required. Location is Ampang, Selangor.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Inspector of Works (IOW) to supervise construction activities and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect Structural, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), and Architectural construction works.
• Study and review construction drawings to identify discrepancies, clashes, and potential site issues.
• Highlight and report issues to the relevant Architects, Engineers, and Main Contractor.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship, and quality of works.
• Prepare detailed daily site logs and photographic progress reports.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve site issues.
• Follow up on defects and rectification works.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, or a related field, and CIDB registration.
• Experience in supervising Structural, M&E, and Architectural works.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
