Job summary

FUSHAN MEDICAL APPLIANCES (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced Injection Molding Technician to support EQM activities, optimize tooling setups and maintain molding equipment to ensure quality and efficiency.

You'll train operators, troubleshoot machine parameters, read technical drawings, and coordinate with the Production Supervisor to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards. This role requires a technical certificate or diploma and at least five years in injection molding.

Qualifications

• At least SPM/Technical Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding and molding maintenance.
• Proficient in injection molding machine operation, parameter setting, and troubleshooting.
• Able to read and understand technical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform EQM activities for all moldings, jigs, fixtures, machines, and equipment.
• Plan and organize molding installation and production activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Ensure all injection molding machines and equipment are maintained at optimal performance and availability.
• Respond promptly to equipment or molding breakdowns and carry out professional repair and maintenance work.
• Liaise with the Production Supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
• Report equipment breakdowns and spare parts requirements to the superior on a daily basis.
• Propose and validate improvement solutions for production tools, jigs, fixtures, machines, and equipment.
• Maintain and adjust machine parameters to ensure product quality and process stability.
• Perform layout, installation, and setup work for new moldings and modified moldings.
• Provide support to other technicians when manpower is insufficient.
• Discuss and share improvement suggestions with superiors to enhance production efficiency.
• Train operators on the proper operation and safe use of machines, tools, and equipment.
• Always follow safe working practices and immediately rectify any unsafe acts or conditions.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Department Head or superior.

Proficient in injection molding machine operation, parameter setting, and troubleshooting.

Able to read and understand technical and mechanical drawings.

Good knowledge and practical experience in plastic injection molding processes.

Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong safety awareness, good discipline, and solid hands-on technical experience.

Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.
