Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Production Technician (Injection Molding) to operate and monitor injection molding machines, install molds, and perform changeovers according to instructions. You will adjust process parameters, conduct trials, and verify initial production conditions to ensure quality products.

You will work with Production, QCQA and Engineering teams to resolve process issues, maintain 5S and safety standards, and support maintenance and continuous improvement projects across

• Experience operating and setting up injection molding machines.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common molding defects.
• Ability to monitor product dimensions, process conditions and quality.
• Familiarity with work instructions, control plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

Job description

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN (INJECTION MOLDING)

Operate and monitor injection molding machines according to production schedule and approved process parameters.

Perform machine setup, mold installation and production changeover according to work instructions and production requirements.

Set and adjust injection molding parameters such as temperature, pressure, injection speed, holding pressure, cooling time and cycle time.

Conduct trial runs and confirm initial production conditions before mass production.

Monitor machine operation, product appearance, dimensions and process conditions during production.

Identify and troubleshoot common injection molding abnormalities such as short shot, flash, sink mark, burn mark, warpage, black spot, silver streak and other molding defects.

Make appropriate machine parameter adjustments to stabilize the production process while maintaining product quality.

Work closely with Production, QCQA and Engineering teams to resolve process and quality issues.

Ensure production is carried out according to approved Work Instructions, Control Plans, drawings and specifications.

Perform first-piece / initial sample verification and support QC inspection before mass production.

Monitor production output, cycle time, rejection and machine downtime.

Record production and process data accurately and report abnormalities to the superior.

Ensure correct material, mold, product and process settings are used according to the production documentation.

Ensure proper handling of runners, rejected parts, regrind and production materials according to established procedures.

Perform routine checks on machine condition, mold condition, hopper, dryer, temperature controller and other supporting equipment.

Maintain cleanliness, 5S and safety standards around the injection molding machine and production area.

Support preventive maintenance activities and report machine or mold abnormalities before they lead to breakdowns.

Assist in process improvement, cycle time reduction, rejection reduction and productivity improvement activities.

Follow all safety requirements and immediately report unsafe conditions or abnormal machine operation.

Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the superior.
