EVE Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Facilities Engineer to manage and optimize utilities across the site in Kedah. You will oversee HVAC, chiller, air systems, and cleanroom conditions, ensuring reliable operations and compliance with safety standards.
The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, fault analysis, energy management, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required.
1. Facilities & Utilities Management
Manage and optimize facility utility systems, including HVAC, chiller, air compressor, cooling tower, dehumidifier, refrigeration system, and dust collector, ensuring stable and efficient operations.
Monitor and control cleanroom / production environment parameters such as temperature, humidity, and air quality to meet operational and quality standards.
Establish and standardize equipment start-up and shutdown SOPs, particularly for high energy consumption systems.
2. Maintenance & Reliability
Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting for infrastructure and utilities equipment.
Perform routine inspection, condition monitoring, and fault analysis (RCA) to improve system reliability and minimize downtime.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies such as compressed air leakage, utility losses, and abnormal energy consumption.
3. Energy Management & Continuous Improvement
Develop and implement energy saving initiatives and energy management programs to optimize utility usage and reduce operational costs.
Lead and support continuous improvement (CI), cost reduction, and energy efficiency projects aligned with business objectives.
Manage fixed assets lifecycle, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and inventory control.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment servicing, troubleshooting, and warranty support, ensuring quality and compliance.
Support factory engineering and facilities projects, including site inspection, feasibility studies, and technical evaluation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contractors to ensure project progress, safety compliance, and quality standards are met.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Facilities Engineering, or related field.
Familiar with:
HVAC systems, chiller systems, air compressor systems, cooling towers, dehumidification systems, and overall utilities management.
Hands-on experience or knowledge in:
Preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and equipment maintenance.
Exposure to PLC, automation, or electrical control systems will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 5S, and safety standards is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and willing to support overtime or shift work when required.
"Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage due to the need to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders."
