Job summary

Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited in Penang seeks a hands-on engineering professional to lead equipment maintenance and reliability across critical plant utility systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, and water supply.

You will drive preventive and corrective maintenance, perform root-cause analysis, monitor energy usage, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while coordinating with production to minimize disruption.

Job description

Your main role is to:

1. Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

Oversee execution of preventive/corrective maintenance for critical plant utility systems, including:

• Electrical infrastructure (HV/LV distribution, generators)
• HVAC, compressed air, and process water supply systems
• Fire protection and telecommunications networks
• Ensure 98%+ operational uptime through scheduled servicing, root-cause analysis, and spare parts management.

2. EHS Compliance & Risk Management

• Implement and monitor factory-wide safety, industrial hygiene, and fire prevention protocols in compliance with - OSHA/local regulations.
• Conduct routine safety audits of M&E systems; report hazards and drive corrective actions to eliminate workplace risks.

3. Engineering Project Execution

• Lead technical planning and construction supervision for production line modifications (expansion/relocation), including:
• Utility system redesign (HVAC, power, compressed air, exhaust)
• Integration of new equipment with existing infrastructure
• Validation of system performance post-installation
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize operational disruption during project execution.

4. Site-Wide Facility Maintenance

• Manage daily upkeep and emergency repairs of all site-supporting infrastructure, including:
• Building utilities (lighting, drainage, structural systems)
• Outdoor facilities (parking, landscaping, security perimeters)
• Environmental control systems (waste treatment, emissions monitoring)

Who are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent 4-year diploma) in Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or closely related technical field.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting, data analysis, and documentation.

English: Basic written/verbal communication skills (e.g., reading technical manuals, email correspondence).
Chinese: Native fluency (required for local regulatory compliance and team coordination).

Core Competency: Proven hands-on experience operating and maintaining industrial utility systems (water, electricity, gas, compressed air).
Energy Management: Demonstrated experience in energy consumption monitoring, cost-saving initiatives, or utility optimization.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with national electrical safety standards (e.g., GB standards) and facility compliance protocols.
