Job summary

Maybank is seeking a Technical Leader to architect and supervise the bank's infrastructure across servers, storage, networks, and cloud platforms. You will document architectures, ensure security, scalability, and alignment with business goals while guiding engineering teams.

You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements, review designs, manage risk, and stay current with emerging technologies. You will also produce detailed documentation and reports for senior management and vendors.

Job description

Technical Leadership:

• Develop and document comprehensive infrastructure architectures, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud solutions.
• Design solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools that enhance infrastructure performance and reliability.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate architectural designs and solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Project Support:

• Support project managers and teams in the planning and execution of infrastructure projects.
• Review and approve technical designs and documentation for infrastructure projects.
• Address technical challenges and provide solutions during project implementation.

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Identify potential risks associated with infrastructure solutions and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure that infrastructure designs comply with relevant regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure and incorporate them into the organization’s architecture as appropriate.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing infrastructure solutions and processes.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guides.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and other stakeholders on the status of infrastructure solutions and projects.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and other external partners to evaluate and integrate third-party solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions, workshops, and conferences to enhance knowledge and contribute to industry advancements.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions, including expertise in servers, storage, networks, and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with specific technologies or platforms relevant to the organization’s needs (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware, Cisco, F5, Firewall, Solaris, Storage, Database, Network).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
