Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to define and lead architecture across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. The role focuses on scalable, secure, highly available servers, storage, virtualization, and networking, with emphasis on IaC and automation.

The candidate will drive cloud migration, data center modernization, and governance while mentoring engineering teams and aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8–13 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, solution design or architecture.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and hybrid cloud design.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and infra monitoring.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and define enterprise infrastructure architecture for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Develop scalable, secure, and highly available server, storage, virtualization, and network infrastructure solutions.
• Lead infrastructure transformation, cloud migration, and data center modernization initiatives.
• Architect virtualization platforms using VMware, Hyper‑V, and container technologies.
• Design cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Plan and implement disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and high availability solutions.
• Collaborate with network, security, cloud, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architecture improvements aligned with business objectives.
• Define infrastructure standards, governance, security controls, and best practices.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and performance optimization projects.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis for critical incidents.
• Prepare architecture documents, high-level designs (HLD), low-level designs (LLD), SOPs, and technical roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and ITIL change management processes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and engage with stakeholders and vendors on strategic infrastructure initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• 8 to 13 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, solution design, or infrastructure architecture.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, Hyper‑V, and enterprise virtualization.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience designing hybrid cloud, data center, storage (SAN/NAS), backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, security, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, DHCP, and identity management.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and automation.
• Familiarity with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
• TOGAF certification is preferred; VMware VCP, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, RHCE, CKA, ITIL, or CISSP certifications are an added advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline; a master's degree is preferred for senior architecture roles.
