We are looking for a proactive and technically capable IT Executive to support the day-to-day IT operations of the resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT systems, hardware, software, network infrastructure, user support, cybersecurity, and ensuring smooth technology operations across all departments.
The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Technical Support
- Provide day-to-day technical support to users across all departments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and repair computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, passwords, and system permissions.
- Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure IT equipment is properly maintained and operational.
Network & Infrastructure
- Support and maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, internet, switches, routers, and other network infrastructure.
- Monitor network connectivity and troubleshoot network-related problems.
- Coordinate with internet service providers and external IT vendors when required.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure projects.
- Ensure proper documentation of network equipment and IT assets.
Hospitality Systems
- Provide technical support for hotel and resort-related systems, including PMS, POS, payment systems, HR systems, telephone systems, CCTV, access control, and other operational applications.
- Coordinate with vendors and system providers for system support, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Assist departments with system-related issues and user access.
- Support the integration and implementation of new technology systems.
IT Security & Data Protection
- Assist in maintaining IT security standards across the property.
- Monitor antivirus, endpoint protection, firewall, and other security solutions.
- Ensure computers and systems are regularly updated with security patches.
- Assist in implementing data backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure confidential company and guest information is appropriately protected.
- Report and escalates any suspected cybersecurity incidents.
IT Asset Management
- Maintain an updated inventory of computers, laptops, printers, networking equipment, software, and other IT assets.
- Monitor the condition and lifecycle of IT equipment.
- Assist with procurement, replacement, and disposal of IT equipment.
- Maintain proper records of IT assets, warranties, licenses, and maintenance contracts.
User Training & Support
- Provide basic IT training and guidance to employees.
- Assist users in understanding and properly using IT systems and applications.
- Prepare basic user guides and IT-related documentation when required.
- Promote good IT practices and cybersecurity awareness among employees.
- Liaise with IT vendors, contractors, service providers, and suppliers.
- Follow up on repairs, maintenance, system upgrades, and service requests.
- Assist the IT Manager in IT-related projects, system implementations, and property technology upgrades.
- Review vendor quotations and provide technical recommendations when required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, maintenance activities, assets, licenses, and system configurations.
- Prepare regular IT reports and updates for management.
- Maintain IT policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation of system changes and configurations.
Other Duties
- Provide IT support during events, meetings, conferences, and major resort operations when required.
- Participate in IT-related emergency and business continuity procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the IT Manager or Management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant IT experience, preferably within the hospitality, hotel, resort, or service industry.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, printers, Wi-Fi, LAN, and basic network configuration.
- Knowledge of hotel systems such as PMS, POS, HR systems, CCTV, or access control will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity, data backup, and IT security practices.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work flexible hours and provide IT support during weekends, public holidays, or after office hours when required.
- Hospitality experience will be an added advantage.
