Job summary

Globetronics Sdn. Bhd. invites motivated Industrial Trainees to join the Safety & Health team in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

You will gain hands-on exposure to workplace safety, occupational health and environmental practices, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include assisting in daily EHS activities, conducting safety inspections, preparing procedures and documentation, supporting incident reporting, and participating in toolbox talks and emergency drills.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of workplace safety & health practices.
• Knowledge of HIRARC/ISO 45001/ISO 14001 or Malaysian OSH requirements is an advantage.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety & Health team in daily EHS activities.

Industrial Trainee – Safety & Health (EHS/OSH)

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Industrial Trainee to join our Safety & Health team. The trainee will gain hands‑on exposure to workplace safety, occupational health, environmental practices and regulatory compliance within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

Assist the Safety & Health team in daily EHS activities.

Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions.

Assist in HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) activities.

Support monitoring of PPE compliance and workplace housekeeping/5S activities.

Assist in preparing and updating safety procedures, checklists and documentation.

Support incident, accident and near‑miss reporting and investigation.

Assist in conducting safety awareness programmes, toolbox meetings and safety briefings.

Support emergency response activities, fire drills and evacuation exercises.

Assist in monitoring chemical safety, scheduled waste and environmental requirements.

Support EHS audits, inspections and compliance activities.

About you

Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Environmental Science, Engineering or other related disciplines.

Basic knowledge of workplace safety and health practices.

Knowledge of HIRARC, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or Malaysian OSH requirements is an advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsible, proactive and willing to learn.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Willing to work in a manufacturing/semiconductor environment.

Able to complete the internship according to the required duration by the university/college.
