Job summary

B. Braun Medical Industries Penang is seeking an Engineer - Industrial to plan equipment layouts, analyze processes, and drive cost efficiency across production facilities.

You will apply Lean concepts, conduct time studies, and support continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, with at least three years in industrial engineering, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant field.
• Experience and knowledge in Industrial Engineering, including takt time, cycle time, lead time, work instructions, and FMEA.
• Exposure to Project Management and involvement in process improvement projects.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with effective time management.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts and processes.
• Possess a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Preferably has a proven track record in executing continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan equipment layouts in plant office and production facilities and establish standards to improve industrial engineering techniques.
• Analyse industrial engineering techniques and develop recommendations to minimize costs, time, and improve yields and productivity.
• Conduct studies to determine efficient sequences of operations and workflow; propose methods for optimal utilization of facilities and personnel.
• Provide engineering services and reports on production methods, layout, and utilization.
• Understand client needs or specifications to develop new techniques and estimate time and cost for steps and projects.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
