Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee industrial gas systems for manufacturing operations. You will manage maintenance, design, and improvement initiatives for gas networks and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable supply to production lines.

The role emphasizes project management, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration with production, facilities, and EHS teams. Strong technical knowledge and experience with regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline as a prerequisite.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing industrial gas systems in semiconductor/manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of industrial gases, gas distribution networks, and related equipment.
• Experience in gas system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with safety codes and regulations for industrial gases and hazardous materials.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, plan, forecast, and coordinate maintenance for LN2, N2, LCO2, plasma gas, forming gas, and LPG systems to ensure continuous supply.
• Lead gas-related CAPEX projects from concept to handover, including procurement and installation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and root cause investigations for gas-related incidents.
• Collaborate with production, facilities, EHS, and suppliers to optimize gas consumption and reliability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and maintenance plans.
