Job summary

NXP Semiconductors Malaysia is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee industrial gas systems across multiple processes, including LN₂, N₂, LCO₂, Plasma Gas, Forming Gas and LPG. You will ensure safe, reliable supply and lead maintenance and upgrade projects with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 2+ years in gas systems within semiconductor or high-tech environments, strong knowledge of gas networks and safety standards, and collaboration with production, facilities and suppliers to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years in industrial gas systems in semiconductor/manufacturing/electronics industries.
Strong knowledge of industrial gases, gas distribution, storage, pressure reg, vaporizers and related equipment.
Experience with gas system design, calculations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Familiarity with safety codes, standards and regulations for industrial gases and hazardous materials.
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance for LN2, N2, LCO2, Plasma, Forming Gas and LPG gas systems to ensure safe, reliable supply.
Analyze system performance post-maintenance and drive corrective actions.
Lead gas-related CAPEX projects from concept through handover.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and root-cause investigations for gas incidents.
Collaborate with production, facilities, EHS and external suppliers to optimize gas consumption and reliability.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and maintenance plans.
