Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical/Gas Engineering or equivalent with 1 year working experience in engineering
• Knowledge in gas utilization/ conversion technology and gas system design
• Familiarity with codes, standard practice, and authority's requirement

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate advice and review on customer in-house gas facilities design referring to standard and codes requirement as well as prepare proposal on customer in-house gas reticulation system to ensure safe and reliable customer in-house gas system in accordance with authority, standard and codes requirement
• Ensure accurate advice and assistance to the customers on gas facilities commissioning, conversion works, troubleshooting, maintenance work and also equipment efficiency test to ensure safe commissioning, successful conversion works and effective gas utilization
• Provide safety briefing and carry out safety inspection on customer gas installation and facilities to promote safety awareness and safe handling of gas equipment in line with the authority and industry requirement
• Liaise with the authority on gas equipment and piping installation requirements and procedures to ensure gas system design and operations meet authority requirement and to maintain good relationship with authority
• Experiment, test, demonstrate and research gas related equipment and utilization to ensure improvement, understanding and progress of gas utilization
• Train, motivate and develop subordinate to improve the competencies and knowledge for delivery the quality services
• Calibrate and maintain instrument and tools to ensure the instruments and tools are always in good condition and within the calibration period
• Perform duties in a safe and healthy manner, working according and always complying with the Safety and Health rules, procedures, and practices
• Protect Gas Malaysia's information assets and ensure that all breaches of information security, actual or suspected are reported to ensure that confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information is maintained
• Promote and market the supply of natural gas to industrial customer in Peninsular Malaysia in reducing global warming gas emission of CO2 to the atmosphere by reducing consumption in heavy fuels
