Job summary

Sime Darby Industrial Division is seeking an Equipment Sales Specialist to drive sales and market coverage for five prime products. You will coordinate with Parts & Service, offer expert consultations to customers, and actively promote our equipment and merchandising programs.

Responsibilities include planning customer calls per PAR, nurturing strong customer relations, sharing market insights, and supporting credit and cash deal processes.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of sales account management or business development experience.
• Experience in heavy equipment, machinery, or industrial sales is an asset.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to communicate in local dialect or Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment sales activities for 5 prime products, including selling, marketing, and identifying sales potential.
• Coordinate with Parts & Service department on product support issues with customers.
• Provide expert consultation and coordination to customers on offerings and solutions.
• Promote AED products and merchandising programmes such as CTS and seasonal campaigns.
• Plan customer calls and ensure adequate coverage as per PAR (Required Calls Per Year).
• Foster good customer relations and assist customers with AED equipment requirements.
• Provide and share competitive market information and updates on market situation changes.
• Assist Parts & Service department with technical information and attend to customer requirements.
• Handle issues and disputes following proper procedures for credit and cash deals.
• Provide assessment and recommendations to management on credit levels and credit days.
