Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Penang team. The role focuses on improving production efficiency, optimising workflows, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

You will monitor daily performance, design tooling, and coordinate facility layouts while ensuring safety policies are followed. Ideal candidates hold a related engineering degree, have at least 1 year of experience, and are proficient with IE tools and SAP/MES.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of working experience in a related field.
Strong understanding of IE tools such as work measurement, process mapping, and workstation design.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to implement continuous improvement and cost reduction programmes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD and SAP / MES.
Good communication skills with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
Willing to be based in Penang (Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan).

Responsibilities

Monitor and continuously improve daily quality and efficiency performance for assigned production areas.
Design and procure production tooling, processing equipment, and workstations.
Coordinate facility layout and workstation relocation activities.
Prepare time estimates for projects and evaluate time factors.
Minimise changeover time and machine-generated scrap through data monitoring and corrective actions.
Analyse workforce utilisation, facility layout, and operational data to optimise efficiency.
Ensure machine maintenance is performed on schedule.
Adhere to all safety, health, and company security policies.
