Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and improve productivity through time studies and Lean initiatives.

You will support line layout, capacity planning, and line balancing, while collaborating with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to implement standard work and process mappings.

Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with 1–3 years of related experience are preferred and may work at Penang Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or related field
• Candidate with 1 - 3 years of relevant working experiences for this position
• Basic / familiarity with Lean Manufacturing knowledge and concepts, time study, and process improvement
• Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD skills required
• Fresh graduates who possessed interest in this role are welcome to apply
• Able to work based at either Penang Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan

Responsibilities

• Support production line layout planning, time studies, and work measurement activities
• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for productivity, efficiency, and cost improvement
• Assist in capacity planning, manpower planning, and line balancing
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen projects
• Support standard work documentation, SOP creation, and process mapping
• Develop Time standards for process steps to be used in the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB)
• Collect, analyze and review IEDB data to insure accuracy and compliance with the standard process
• Monitor the SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations and insure compliance with the standardized system configurations
• Collect, analyze, and report operational data to support decision-making
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and process changes as required
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards
