Job summary

BAC Asia is seeking an Indirect Buyer to source and manage procurement for indirect materials and services supporting plant operations. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Maintenance, EHS, HR, Finance, and external suppliers to optimize costs and supplier performance.

The role emphasizes supplier qualification, bidding processes, and ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing categories such as MRO, plant consumables, engineering services, facility management, packaging materials, chemicals, indirect materials, utilities, or capital expenditure projects is preferred.
• Experience using SAP ERP systems and working in a lean manufacturing or operational excellence environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Source qualified suppliers through RFQ, RFP, and market benchmarking to ensure best value while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, monitor supplier commitments, and ensure on-time delivery to meet operational needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technical specifications and delivery expectations.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements where gaps exist.
• Support budgeting with cost analysis, market intelligence, and savings opportunities for indirect procurement.
• Maintain accurate supplier master data and sourcing documentation in SAP or other systems.
