Job summary

Bruker in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Indirect Buyer to manage procurement of indirect goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness purchasing while maintaining quality, compliance and timely delivery. You will negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and support strategic sourcing across Finance, HR, IT, Manufacturing and R&D, collaborating with internal stakeholders.

A BS/BA in a related field with 3–5 years in buying/planning is preferred; CPIM or CSCP certification is

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a buyer/planner role for a direct manufacturer.
• Knowledge of forecasting, MRP, inventory management and purchasing.
• Proficient with MS Office and Excel; CPIM/CSCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure indirect goods and services per policies.
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimize cost, quality and service.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery.
• Conduct market research for cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, Manufacturing and R&D.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and legal requirements.
