Job summary

HID Global in India & APAC is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support accurate, compliant India & APAC payroll delivery. You will help transition payroll from ADP to an in-house BIPO model and support payroll processing, statutory compliance, payroll accounting, and employee payroll queries.

You will work with HR, Finance, vendors and employees in a multinational shared services environment, requiring strong India payroll knowledge and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years' hands-on India payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of India payroll legislation, taxation, labour laws, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers, preferably ADP.
• Experience supporting payroll implementation, migration, or in-house payroll build projects is advantageous.
• Multinational or shared services payroll experience is preferred, with opportunity to build broader international payroll exposure.
• Exposure to payroll accounting, reconciliations, and month-end payroll processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate, compliant, and timely end-to-end India payroll operations.
• Validate payroll inputs such as hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, incentives, and employee updates.
• Perform payroll calculations, reconciliations, validations, and audit checks before finalization.
• Support payroll approvals, salary disbursements, statutory payments, and Full & Final settlements.
• Support employee payroll queries, including escalations, with timely resolution and documentation.
• Maintain payroll records, supporting documentation, and audit trails.
• Assist with payroll procedures, process documentation, controls, and user guides.
• Support process improvement, automation, and standardization.
