Job summary

Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA) is looking for an enthusiastic IT professional to provide first-line technical support across all sites. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimise downtime for production and business operations.

The role requires maintaining devices, applying updates, and supporting network infrastructure around multiple locations in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience diagnosing and solving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and basic network troubleshooting.

• Provide first-line technical support to employees across all CIMA sites and RMC Unipati.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Ensure minimal downtime for business and production operations.
• Offer 24/7/365 on-call IT support for critical system failures and emergencies.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and IT peripherals.
• Perform regular software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
• Maintain and track IT assets, licenses, and inventory across locations.
• Assist in setup and maintenance of network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi).
• Ensure network connectivity and security compliance across all sites.

Support server and cloud-based systems, including backups and recovery processes

About you

Certificate or Diploma in Computer Studies, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems, printers, and other peripherals

Understanding of network configurations, TCP/IP protocols, and basic network troubleshooting

Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, including user account management and system updates

Awareness of cybersecurity principles and the ability to implement security measures to protect company data
