KBC A Yokogawa Company in Malaysia is seeking a Technology Support Engineer to deliver high-value consulting, simulation projects, and technical support to clients across the energy and process industries. The role blends engineering, software, and client delivery—from model building to real-world implementation.

The ideal candidate has a chemical/process engineering background, strong communication, and thrives in a hybrid setup with occasional client-site travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in oil & gas, energy, chemicals, or process industries.
• Base level knowledge of refining or upstream processes with modeling experience.
• Familiar with standard flow sheeting packages and able to explain complex technical concepts to clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day workload of the Software Support desk for the region.
• Ensure timely, high-quality software and helpdesk support and maintain client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams to meet modelling needs and grow Software business regionally.
• Provide technical consulting to projects and assist with training material development.
