Job summary

FedEx Malaysia in Selangor is looking for a Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions. You will manage a team of payroll professionals, ensuring accurate and timely delivery while partnering with HR, Finance, vendors and business stakeholders.

The role drives payroll transformation, process improvements and system enhancements, including automation and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of payroll experience, including supervisory or managerial exposure.
Strong knowledge of payroll operations, tax compliance, and multi-country environments.
Experience managing vendors and working in complex organisations.
Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in payroll transformation or automation is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Oversee end-to-end payroll activities including salary processing, time reporting, payroll accounting, and statutory submissions.
Ensure payroll records are secure and audit-ready.
Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws and internal controls.
Support audits and vendor management.
Drive automation and data-driven decision-making.
Manage expatriate/inpat payroll and tax coordination.
