Job summary

Advanced Energy Management Limited in Malaysia is seeking a Manager, Production (Hybrids Cleanroom) to lead a high-mix manufacturing team, plan resources, schedule and drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and quality.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Materials and Purchasing, implement Lean practices, mentor supervisors, and ensure compliance with health, safety and 5S standards while delivering on-time, cost targets.

• Strong working knowledge of the AE performance appraisal process, as well as familiarity with applicable rules and/or regulations governing the relationship between employee and employer.

Responsibilities

• Develops, communicates, and executes strategic operational plans aligned with organizational and business unit objectives.
• Accountable for expense and capital budget management, workforce and resource planning, labor productivity, operational efficiency, goal deployment, and prioritization of resources to achieve production, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Responsible for exercising significant discretion and independent judgment in making operational, financial, and strategic decisions that impact the organization’s direction and performance.
• Establishes departmental yearly/monthly objectives and take initiative to lead production team to achieve the goals and objectives.
• Creates an environment that stimulates new ideas, provides effective work direction and motivation, sets challenging work goals through personal growth, respect, trust, and empowerment of the individual.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, employee development, and team-building to employees. Trains production supervisors, trainers and line leaders to improve their management skills.
• Works cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, Materials, Purchasing, and other key interfaces to review, analyze, and optimize new and existing product and processes.
• Teams up with team members to improve products quality and On-Time-Delivery to meet customers’ requirements.
• Improves production efficiency and reduce lead time from order placement to finish goods delivery.
• Develops and implements structures that promote work team ownership of continuous improvement and corrective action processes.
• Facilitates continuous improvement actions in production and engineering related areas.
• Lead the team to drive Kaizen / QCC event.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
• Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies, and general duty of care
• Other duties as assigned.
