Job summary

Private Advertiser in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager to oversee weekly and monthly production plans, monitor workflow, and coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure materials meet production needs.

You will lead production staff, ensure GMP/HALAL safety standards, analyze capacity to optimize output, conduct stock checks, and support new product trials and QAQC collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Traditional Medicine, Health Supplement, Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industry with min 3 years as Production Manager.
• Mandarin, Malay, and English required (Mandarin an added advantage).
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HALAL and workplace safety standards.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and strong people management.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly production plans based on orders and inventory.
• Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Oversee daily activities of production workers.
• Coordinate with purchaser/store/warehouse to ensure sufficient materials.
• Carry out monthly stock checks and align with production output.
• Responsible for year-end stock count.
• Supervise machine operating parameters and line leadership scope.
• Analyze machine and labor capacity to optimize output and prevent bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and production processes.
• Work with QA/QC to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot daily operations, identify root causes, propose solutions.
• Identify process improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
• Supervise cleaning and tidying of production areas.
• Report and investigate workplace incidents.
• Conduct periodic training to measure appraisal effectiveness.
• Support new product trials or R&D activities.
• Act as communication bridge between shop floor and management.
• All other duties as instructed by Management.
