Job summary

Din Tai Fung Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee all HR operations across 20 restaurant outlets and the Balakong office, supporting around 900 staff while ensuring compliance with local labor laws. Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to oversee all human resources operations. The ideal candidate will manage the full-spectrum HR functions across our 20 restaurant outlets and Balakong office, supporting our 900 staff members while ensuring strict compliance with local labor laws and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.

Key responsibilities

Oversee full-spectrum HR functions, encompassing recruitment, payroll, performance management, compensation & benefits, and industrial relations (IR)

Manage foreign worker recruitment and work permit processing

Oversee hostel management, ensuring compliance with local housing standards and welfare regulations

Advise management on HR best practices and ensure complete compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in Malaysia

Liaise directly with government authorities, including labor and immigration departments

Lead and manage the HR team to achieve departmental and operational goals

Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and terminations

Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive, inclusive work culture across all outlets

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the F&B, retail, or hospitality industry

In-depth knowledge of Malaysian labor laws (Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, etc.) and immigration procedures

Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing an HR team and supporting a large, multi-site workforce

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities
