Job summary

Cohu Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an HR Assistant Manager/Manager to lead HR excellence across talent development, lifecycle management and compliance in our manufacturing environment.

The role drives end-to-end HR operations, Training Needs Analysis, leadership development, succession planning, and capability initiatives, while ensuring regulatory and ISO/RBA audit readiness with strong stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HRM, Business Admin, Management, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or multinational environment is preferred.
• Experience supporting or coordinating ISO, RBA, customer, or regulatory audits is highly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end HR operations and employee lifecycle management, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and employee-centric service delivery.
• Lead Training Needs Analysis (TNA), learning and development, leadership development, succession planning, workforce capability initiatives, and HRDC compliance.
• Coach and develop HR team capabilities through knowledge sharing, cross-training, and continuous improvement.
• Lead HR compliance, governance, ISO/RBA audits, CAPA management, and data privacy initiatives to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance.
• Drive HR transformation, digitalization, process improvement, and organizational development initiatives.
• Deliver HR analytics, reporting, workforce planning insights, and recommendations to support business growth.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders and lead strategic HR projects and initiatives.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Good knowledge of HR operations, learning and development, compliance, audits, and HR project management.
• Experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, or multinational environment is preferred.
• Experience supporting or coordinating ISO, RBA, customer, or regulatory audits is highly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
