We Are Hiring for the Following Position:
HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT MANAGER
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant Manager is responsible for strategizing and executing recruitment plans, managing employee engagement & activities, employee welfare, ensuring smooth payroll operations and leading learning & development initiatives. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in Education background, demonstrating strong HR leadership and operational skills.
Main Duty & Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- a) Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions including local and expatriate candidates.
- b) Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- c) Collaborate with Department Heads to understand hiring needs and workforce planning.
- d) Build employer branding initiatives to attract potential candidates.
- e) Improvise and revise job descriptions to ensure alignment with business needs.
Payroll & HR Administration
- a) Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate salary disbursement.
- b) Maintain employee records, attendance, and leave management systems.
- c) Ensure compliance with statutory contributions such as EPF, SOCSO, LHDN, HRDF and EIS.
- d) Assist in HR budgeting and cost control related to manpower planning.
- e) Prepare monthly HR reports accurately for presentation to the Management.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- a) Address employee grievances and provide resolutions in alignment with company policies.
- b) Ensure HR policies comply with local employment laws and the industry’s best practices.
- c) Conduct HR training sessions on policies, procedures, and employee engagement initiatives.
- d) Engage in employee relations and industrial relations (IR) matters, including handling disputes, disciplinary actions and negotiations.
- e) Keep the Employee Handbook updated and review HR policies & procedures regularly.
- f) Apply for new, renew, process or manage requirement for expatriate recruitment and departure including but not limited to JTK, PERKESO, IRDA, LHDN & Immigration Dept.
- g) Preferably have experience in dealing with authorities regarding related matters.
Learning & Development and Staff Engagement
- a) Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- b) Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development initiatives.
- c) Plan and execute staff engagement activities to enhance workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
- d) Work closely with Management to develop succession planning strategies.
- e) Hands-on experience with the HRD Corp (HRDC) system is compulsory, including levy payment, grant application, claims and training administration.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably in private school background.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies & payroll administration.
- Familiarity with Malaysian labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple HR functions effectively.
- Available to start immediately would be an advantage.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in handling recruitment and workforce planning (Jobstreet, Indeed, myFuturejobs, Linkedin).
- Proficiency in HR software (HRMS) and payroll systems (Worksy).
- Strong experience in engaging employee relations, industrial relations (IR) matters, learning & development, and staff engagement planning.
- Preferably experience in dealing with authorities (JTK, PERKESO, IRDA, LHDN & Immigration).
