We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team at our Bukit Minyak facility in Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial strategic role within our organisation. As Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of human resources operations, from talent acquisition and employee relations to performance management and organisational development. This role is integral to supporting our business objectives and ensuring we maintain a high-performing, engaged workforce within the semiconductor technology sector.
Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and policies aligned with organisational objectives and Malaysian employment regulations
Lead recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives, including job profiling, candidate sourcing, interviewing and selection processes
Manage employee onboarding, orientation, and integration programmes to ensure smooth transition of new hires
Oversee employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and performance management discussions
Administer compensation and benefits programmes, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with statutory requirements
Develop and deliver training and development programmes to support employee growth and career progression
Manage employee performance appraisal systems and provide coaching to line managers on performance management
Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws, health and safety regulations, and internal policies
Maintain accurate HR records and prepare regular reports on HR metrics and key performance indicators
Lead organisational development initiatives to improve workplace culture, engagement, and retention
Partner with senior management and departmental heads to support business strategy implementation through effective human capital management
Assist in the application and processing of Employment Pass (EP) and Professional Visit Pass (PVP), as well as foreign worker permits, including the preparation of relevant documentation and coordination with the relevant authorities.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional HR certifications (such as CHRP or equivalent) are highly desirable
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in an HR management or senior HR role
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labour regulations, and statutory compliance requirements
Proven expertise in recruitment, talent management, employee relations, and performance management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all organisational levels
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
Experience in managing HR systems and databases, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or technology sector environment
Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into effective HR initiatives
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience in employee engagement and culture development initiatives is advantageous
