Qualifications

• Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
• 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience in setting up HR functions or working in new/start-up operations is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia Labour laws and HR best practices.
• Experience in payroll management and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and develop HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook from scratch.
• Manage full spectrum of HR functions, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, compliance and performance management.
• Lead hiring for plant operations.
• Lead manpower planning and talent acquisition for manufacturing and support functions.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Establish payroll processes and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, LHDN).
• Develop benefits administrations and compensation structures.
• Develop training programs and employee development initiatives.
• Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and employee engagement.
• Support management in organisational development and culture building.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and develop HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook from scratch
• Manage full spectrum of HR functions, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, compliance and performance management
• Lead hiring for plant operations
• Lead manpower planning and talent acquisition for manufacturing and support functions
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and statutory requirements
• Establish payroll processes and statutory contribution: Employees Provident Fund, Social security Organisation, Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, ensure compliance with Employment Act 1955
• Develop benefits administrations, and compensation structures
• Develop training programs and employee development initiatives
• Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and employee engagement
• Support management in organisational development and culture building

About you

• Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
• Minimum 5-8 years of HR experience, preferable in manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience in setting up HR functions or working in new/start-up operations is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia Labour laws and HR best practices
• Experience in payroll management and HR systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Takes ownership and acts without waiting for direction
• Willing to manage both strategic and administrative HR tasks
• Able to handle people issues with sound judgement
• Able to work closely with Management and operational teams
